“There is something happening in The Lake District that is very special” – Louder Than War
mylittlebrother are a band from deepest Cumbria. Their harmony-laden indie-pop music has echoes of West Coast Americana, but was also recently described as “a cross between Supertramp and Nirvana”
Their 3 EPs and 1 album received rave reviews, and gained airplay from Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Local Radio, Radio Caroline and many more, and have featured on BBC television, ITV, Channel 4 and in several short films.
After a summer of tours and festivals across the UK, they have started work on their second album which is due out late 2017.
They return to the Brickyard for the first time in over a year, better than ever, with a new line-up and new material, making a very exciting new chapter for this remarkable band.
Fuzzystar – (from Edinburgh) “off-kilter indie-pop laden with a dream like fuzz” – CLASH
“Infectious reverb strewn hooks” – GIGSLUTZ
KVEIS began as the brainchild of songwriter and producer Joe Marshall. Whilst living in London and then studying in Leeds he amassed a collection of songs which would become the soon to be released ‘Uneasiness After Debauchery’ EP. Produced almost entirely in the confines of his bedroom, Joe began playing solo shows armed with an acoustic guitar with an eye towards recruiting musicians to help fully realise the project live.
After returning to his native Penrith, Cumbria long time friends Joe Hiscoke (drums) and Martyn Simpson (bass, vocals) joined the fray to form the current incarnation of KVEIS.
